- The Family Kitchen offers a delectable range of ready-made meals, eliminating the need for any cooking on your part. You can even enjoy these meals straight from the tray to save on dishes!

What Ordering Options Are Available?**

- You have several ordering options to choose from, including one-off orders, meal boxes, and subscription meal plans.

How Do Subscription Meal Plans Work?**

Getting started with our meal plans is simple. After creating an account, just select your preferred meal subscription plan and choose the number of adult and child portions you need. Once your plan is set, we take care of the rest! You can pause or cancel a week, or change your meal selections—just make sure to submit any changes before 7 PM on Sunday for the upcoming week.

We offer 5-8 new meals each week, and if you have specific meal preferences, you can view our weekly menu and email us your requests at shop@mealprep.nz.

Can I Make One-Time Purchases?**

- Absolutely! You can order as many ready-made meals as you want, whether it's just one meal or a dozen. The same delivery fee applies regardless of the number of meals in your order.

 When Do You Deliver?**

Frozen Range: Deliveries for our frozen meals occur Monday to Friday, with a two-day processing window for order fulfillment.

Gourmet Fresh Meals: Our meal order cutoff time is Sunday at 12 PM for shipping on Wednesday.

Perishable Delivery: We use overnight delivery for perishable items, so your box will arrive within 24 hours of being shipped.

No Weekend or Public Holiday Shipments: We do not ship on weekends or public holidays.

Rural Deliveries: We do not recommend shipping to rural addresses due to the instability of the rural delivery network, and we cannot guarantee rural deliveries.

What If I Won't Be Home for Delivery?**

- We understand that life can get busy. During checkout, you can provide delivery instructions on where to leave your food box. Rest assured, our meals are delivered in insulated boxes, but we recommend refrigerating or freezing them as soon as possible. You'll receive text or email confirmations from us when your meals are on their way and when they've been delivered.

Do You Offer Vegetarian Meals?**

- Yes, we do! While we're actively working on expanding our vegetarian options, we currently offer Five delightful vegetarian meal delivery choices. Stay tuned for more additions to our menu!

How Should I Store My Meals?**

Please refer to the packaging for specific storage instructions, as not all meals are suitable for freezing. For those that are, our meals can be stored in the fridge for up to 7 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months. Each meal comes with an expiry date for your convenience.

Important: Please do not freeze meals with salads as they are best enjoyed fresh.

How Are the Meals Packaged?**

- We prepare our meals fresh daily and vacuum-seal them to lock in flavor. They are then carefully packed in a wool-insulated cardboard box, surrounded by frozen gel packs to maintain freshness.

- Meal Trays: Our trays are made of 80% recycled content and are recyclable.
- Cardboard Boxes: Flatten and recycle your cardboard boxes.
- Gel Packs: Reuse them or dispose of the non-toxic gel in your garden and recycle the plastic bag.

Rural deliveries

Navigating rural deliveries can be a bit tricky. While we don't guarantee rural shipping, we understand it might be more convenient for you. If you choose to have your order sent to a rural address, it's at your own risk. For a smoother experience, we recommend considering an urban address, like your office. To add an extra layer of convenience, you can also opt to divert your order to a collection center. However, if rural is your preference, keep a close eye on the tracking details. Once the parcel leaves our kitchen, it's safe for 48 hours. After that, it might need to be collected from the shipping provider's depot. Your meal journey is important to us, and we want to make sure it reaches you just right, even if you're in a rural oasis.
